From the earliest days of pipe making there have been briars stained in rich crimson. In fact it's virtually impossible to think of a quality or prestigious brand which didn't have such a finish in their offerings. The Ser Jacopo Ruby is a bit brighter and more lively than those of other pipe makers, and most are adorned with a silver ring, as above, or other option. After Ser Jacopo Ruby pipes have been smoked for a while they take on a rich walnut color and patina. |
