A Ser Jacopo Diamond with 18k gold band
The top of this pipe was left natural so the outer part
of the burl is visible. While Ser Jacopo uses only "extra-extra
plateaux"
briar for all their pipes, they don't leave very many this way
This pipe is one of a "bumper" crop of seven Diamond
grade pipes
which were made in 1999.
Compare this to the fact that there were only three made during
the balance of the decade!
