R1 Rustic with Wood Inlay
Does anyone think this a "German" shape. If so you've been
listening, and thanks. This is a compact "horn" though certainly
not an Oliphant which is much larger and longer.
The thick shank is a give away to its German design roots,
though the details are all Ser Jacopo. The inlay is an interesting
variegated wood which manifests many different shades and
colors. While the stem appears thick at the barrel, it tapers well, and
is the standard 4mm at the bite. Comfortable as all get out. That's
a standard feature on all Ser Jacopo pipes -
the most comfortable stems anywhere. And that's a fact.
