Briar Mill Tour

Briar Mill Tour - Phase One

When a quantity of burls has been unearthed,
the harvester trims away the useless portions, such as cracked
or damaged parts. Additionally, they look to remove any
remaining branch wood, which is essentially without grain
and will cheapen any block. The harvester's salary is
computed in part by the weight of the burls, but only of
the portion potentially useable, thus the necessity in trimming
the burls. Somewhat like having the butcher trim the fat
off the chops.
