What many pipe smokers probably don't know is that Rich is also an extremely talented musician who fronts a band bearing his name as singer and song writer. Rich calls it his "night job". That's Rich flanked by Dan (bass) and Kory (percussion). |

The Rich Lewis Band plays a soulful mix of R&B, New Orleans and Motown. This blend of musical styles creates an infectious sound that makes you want to stomp your feet or shed a tear. I have been playing around the Minneapolis area for over 25 years. I was a founding member of the band The Explodo Boys back in the mid 70’s and have played with many other bands over the years. Our drummer Kory Badertscher played and recorded with the legendary Dave Ray for nearly two decades. He and our bass player Dan Schoenbauer have been together as a rhythm section for over 25 years. We have always been true to our hearts
playing music we love. With our vast song list which includes
many original songs, you never know what might be played on any
given night. The band will also expand at times to 4 or 5 pieces
with horns and piano added as with several of the tracks on our
CD. If you get the chance to hear our CD, we hope you enjoy it,
